Ultra-thin OLED graphic displays by Display Vision

Display Vision has launched a series of miniature OLED graphic displays with a thickness comparable to that of a credit card. The high image quality and contrast combined with a wide operating temperature range and low power consumption make these products perfectly suited for use in battery-powered circuits such as portable devices – especially those designed for use in harsh environments.

With a thickness of 1.3mm and a screen size of 0.84″ or 1.18″, the compact Display Vision displays feature a 96x16 pixel matrix (0.22mm). The black background allowed the manufacturer to achieve a contrast ratio of 2000:1 while maintaining a wide viewing angle (which is 160°). Image brightness of 120cd/m2 ensures good visibility of graphic images even in sunlight. The displays offer a fast response time (less than 10µs), and their wide operating temperature range (from -40°C to +80°C) makes them suitable for use in virtually all climatic conditions.

From a constructor's point of view, the products boast two more significant features: the display life declared by the manufacturer (minimum 20000h when operating at +25°C) and the guarantee of product availability for a minimum of 8 years.
