Fuses play a vital part in most of electrical and electronical appliances. Their basic function is to protect circuits from overloading, which might lead to combustion or other thermal damage. In some cases they protect elements of the circuit, such as motors or transformers, from the malfunction. However, the supreme goal of a fuse is to protect the health, life and property of users. It applies not only to electrical installations in a household or workplace, but also to vehicles and, more frequently, to mobile devices, in which batteries, when power circuits or links get damaged, are able to emit large quantities of energy in a very short time.

At the same time, a single-use fuse that can „burn-out“ is practically impossible to test. The only guarantee of correct functioning and maintaining the nominal values is the precision of manufacturing and repeatability of production processes. For this reason, manufacturer’s brand and reputation are an important factor when it comes to choosing a fuse.

ESKA is a German company with its headquarters and factories located in Kassel. Its history involves over 50 years of tradition in producing precise and reliable solutions. Although today ESKA is still one of the biggest, specialised fuse manufacturers, it still carefully listens to the customers’ needs. Thanks to that, the products that it supplies are perfectly fitted to the market demand. It operates on the industrial machinery market, in the automotive industry, as well as in the area of household appliances and consumer electronics.

There is a variety of ESKA solutions in the offer – from industrial fuses to SMD subminiature components (more info).
