TME series DC/DC converters by Traco Power

The components in the TME series are miniature, isolated 1 W converters. They have been placed in 11.5x10.2x6.1mm or 11.5x10.2x7.1mm SIP packages (for higher-voltage products) that take up 0.7cm2 of the PCB, allowing the miniaturisation of the power supply circuits.

The main purpose of the converters presented here is to provide stable power for electronic/digital systems in equipment where fluctuations may occur due to the connection/disconnection of external loads. The converters are available in versions that increase or decrease the input voltage to the nominal value. The series also includes stabilising converters, where the accepted input voltage values are close to the output voltage values with a tolerance of ±10% (e.g. 10.8 to 13.2V for 12Vdc). The products are available in versions with Vout = 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V or 15V DC.

Another important advantage of the TME series is the input/output isolation of 1000Vdc. Thanks to that, control systems can be easily protected against overvoltage by separating them from the actuation circuits such as relays. Other advantages of the converters include the integrated short-circuit protection (SCP) and extensive thermal tolerance (-40 to +85°C) allowing operation in diverse environments and in built-in applications that impede active or even convective cooling of the circuits (more info).
