Sunon fans with an IP68 rating

Most fans that are available on the market don’t ensure a high level of protection against dust or moisture, which means that they can’t be used in difficult environmental conditions, during a rainfall, etc. Luckily, Sunon provides solutions for such applications.

Below, we present the GE and GF fans by Sunon. These are all-purpose products with standard electrical and mechanical specifications, characterised by a very high protection rating, IP68.

In other words, the GE and GF fans will be ready to operate even after being immersed in 1 meter of freshwater. Of course, this level of protection is not likely to be necessary, but it demonstrates that these products can be used freely even in places where they will be exposed to rain, splashing, or water jets from pressure washers, etc.

The fans require a 12 or 24 V DC power supply. It is worth highlighting that the connector between the wire and the drive is also IP68-rated. The products come in popular 80 mm and 92 mm size variants, with mounting holes arranged in a standard layout. The fan construction is based on ball bearings, thanks to which the components can spin at up to 4800 rpm (revolutions per minute), which translates into the air flow (efficiency) up to 126 m3/h (more info).
