The annual event allows makers and hobbyists to connect with companies, universities, schools and research centres to share innovative technology ideas.
The 11th edition of Maker Faire Rome is one of the largest events of its kind in Europe and covers all the current trends in innovation, such as digital manufacturing, Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), the circular economy, agritech and e-sports via big data and aerospace. The exhibition also features the latest discoveries of the metaverse and augmented reality.
“Mouser is proud to inspire all kinds of innovators, whether they’re part-time tinkerers, professional engineers, or STEM educators,” says Mark Patrick, Head of Technical Marketing, EMEA at Mouser Electronics. “Since there is no minimum number of parts on Mouser orders, we have a strong existing customer base of makers. We are excited to guide attendees at our stand through different tools that can help them bring their ideas to life, and we have a wide range of activities that can help them experience the latest technologies.”
Helpful members of the Mouser customer service team will be on hand to guide visitors through Mouser’s services and tools and share technical resources that can help them get projects started. There are also a number of fun activities which visitors can participate in to get inspired by new technological trends and hone their practical skills.
Draw Your Own Circuits to Illuminate LEDs
Visitors at the Mouser booth can get creative by drawing their own circuit using the Circuit Scribe Conductive Ink Pen from Sparkfun. The pen’s silver conductive ink replaces the need for complicated wiring, allowing visitors to craft a circuit using just the Circuit Scribe pen, paper, a coin battery and a LED board. Visitors will also be able to take home the circuit they create, along with the LED board. Pre-registration is available to participate in this demonstration.
“Can you crimp it” Challenge
Visitors can put their crimping abilities to the ultimate test with the help of Molex crimping tools. Pre-registration is available to participate in this challenge.
Energy Bike Demonstration
Power up your ride with Analog Devices' cutting-edge bike featuring a built-in energy harvester, effortlessly converting your pedal power into sustainable electrical energy.
Pacman
It’s Pacman, but with a modern twist: through the use of speech recognition with the Silicon Labs xG24 Dev Kit, have the chance to play a voice-controlled version of the 80’s classic.
