The recent launch of ChatGPT has launched a serious discussion regarding the broader use of Artificial Intelligence. ChatGPT has become a useful tool in various lines of work in a short time since its release. According to the numbers presented by SafeBettingSites.com, ChatGPT has been most commonly used for coding, with 66% of users using it to write codes.
Content Creation Second-Most Popular Use of ChatGPT
Since its launch in November last year, ChatGPT (and other AI tools) has already started to shape how work is done in offices. However, the impact of ChaptGPT has been different on different lines of work.
The initial trends show that it is worrying news for IT professionals and content creators in particular. As per the survey included in the recently released Statista report on the use of AI, 66% of US-based employees who use ChatGPT use it for writing codes. The survey was conducted among US-based employees in leading positions who use ChatGPT for professional use.
Content creation/copywriting was the second most common use of ChatGPT among US-based employees. 58% of those surveyed said they have been using ChatGPT for their content needs. Another widespread use of the popular AI tool has been customer support. A large number of businesses have started to use AI for their customer support, and it was very evident in the survey results. 57% of respondents admitted using ChatGPT for customer support needs in their businesses.
ChatGPT is also popularly used for office tasks such as creating summaries of meetings or lengthy documents. 52% of respondents said that they had used ChatGPT for such tasks.
When it comes to research, the use of ChatGPT is less widespread than other popular activities like coding and content creation. According to the survey, only 45% of ChatGPT users in the United States used it for research purposes.
Generating task lists is yet another popular use of ChatGPT among US-based professionals. 45% of survey respondents said they have been using ChatGPT for generating task lists. Only 3% of respondents picked Others as an option in the survey.
