Mean Well converters for the railway industry

RSD-500 DC/DC converters, as the name suggests, have a maximum output power of approx. 500 W. Depending on the model, the output rated power ranges from 420 W to 499.2 W, while maintaining an impressive efficiency of 92%. The single output voltage for the RSD-500 series is 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V DC. It can be adjusted (within 15%) thanks to the built-in regulator.

Another noteworthy feature of the discussed products is the wide range of supply voltage. Typically, it maintains the ratio of 2:1, i.e., around 17 V-34 V DC, 34 V-63 V DC, etc. As a result, MEAN WELL products are not only immune to voltage fluctuations - they are also more universal and can be used as replacements during the maintenance and servicing of many types of devices, also in machine parks.
