The SPS Italia Digital Days were the starting point for the SPS Italia Contact Place. More than 400 companies, 2,418 products and solutions, 715 experts, 634 video views, 161 events and webinars and 73,000 views are the result of this year's SPS Italia Digital Days.
SPS Italia, which normally takes place in Parma at the end of May, also had to be held exclusively in digital form this year. For this reason, the Italian automation industry gathered at this year's SPS Italia Digital Days from 28 - 30. September 2020 and was a great success. Over the course of three days, participants were able to take a deeper look into the industry's trend topics, exchange ideas and attend lectures and discussion sessions on a wide range of topics. Due to the Corona pandemic, the channels of contact for everyone have changed, despite this however, there is still a need for personal encounters, exchange of experiences and ideas on, for example, how digital innovation has influenced, continues to influence, and what impact it will have on the further development of the Italian economy. The SPS Italia Digital Days was exactly the right platform for this.
SPS Italia inaugurates the SPS Italia Contact Place
The event was not only an opportunity to generate new contacts and maintain existing ones, but it was also the starting point for the SPS Italia Contact Place, a digital platform designed to enable its users to meet with companies and experts all year round and to discover the potential of new technologies for the industry. The Contact Place also serves to maximize the benefits of the physical fair and to optimize these in the near future. Products, solutions, events, videos on demand, job adverts the contact names of technology or industry experts: this is just some of the information from the more than 400 company profiles already filled out and made available free of charge to users of the platform.
The SPS Italia Digital Days has succeeded in creating a community that will be able to exchange information all year round and promote innovation for the industry.
The SPS Italia has always promoted technological training by organizing well-attended scientific seminars during the three days of the fair. This year the scientific seminars were held online under the title of the SPS
Italia Digital Days. The web seminars focused on the following topics: digital and intelligent manufacturing, connectivity for digital transformation and mechatronics; robotics and collaborative systems, sensors and vision systems; networks and field buses, and tools for analyzing and improving the efficiency of digital transformation.
