Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry's leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the TMF8806 Direct Time-of-Flight (dToF) Sensor from ams OSRAM.

The ams OSRAM TMF8806 is a dToF optical distance sensor module achieving up to 5000mm target detection distance. The TMF8806 can operate at ultra-low power consumption using ultra-low power mode. The module allows operation with I²C hosts with an extensive voltage range of 1.2V and 1.8V to 3.3V. The ams OSRAM TMF8806 sensor features a single modular package with integrated VCSEL based on SPAD, TDC, and histogram technology.

Applications for the TMF8806 sensor include distance measurement for camera autofocus, battery-operated systems with extended runtime, presence detection, object detection, and collision avoidance.
